What to expect on the Magic Dolphin Catamaran Dolphin and Whale watching

Our Catamaran is 14m long and 7m wide. Although we have the capacity for more, we like taking a small group of 28 to 30 pax so we can provide a more personal service to our guests.

We will sail 6 miles out of Funchal Bay heading for one of the tallest sea cliffs in the world Cabo Girão. Along the way, we will be keeping a lookout for all kinds of wildlife such as dolphins, whales, and turtles. We often spot these animals jumping and splashing in their natural habitat and it’s always a great sight that never gets old. Our certified guides will provide you all the information necessary to better your understanding of the wildlife here on Madeira Island.

Mid-way through the trip we have a brief stop at Cabo Girão and enjoy the stunning view of one of the highest sea cliffs in the world. With the option to swim and snorkel in the summer months (snorkeling equipment provided free of charge).

On our way back, we sail close to the coast passing by many interesting points such as fishing village Camara de Lobos and the famous Reid’s Hotel where Winston Churchill used to stay during his visits to Madeira Island. You will be able to sit back and take in the beautiful views of the south coast of Madeira Island.
