The Madeira Wine Day & Lunch in the Vineyard is a 1-day Wine Tour designed for those who want to discover more about Madeira wines and the Madeira wine region.

A great winery experience, that starts on the NW coast of the island, at the emblematic village of São Vicente and goes into the vineyard to show the connection between the soil, the microclimate, the growing conditions, all the process that will increase your knowledge about the essence of wine. Then a wonderful tasting of white, red, and rosé wines, with an awesome view makes it memorable.

It’s time to go back to the SW coast of the island, to the sunny village of Calheta to visit a cozy and informal vineyard hotel dating from the 17th century with a special reception by the owner, where you will experience our wonderful cuisine for lunch including Madeira wine as an aperitif and local rum as digestive.

A 3-course meal lunch, with amazing views overlooking the vineyards and the ocean, will be offered.

It’s time for another Madeira wine tasting, this time on a rural oasis located in Funchal, that comprises of gardens rich flora, as well as vineyards and the manor house which has been in the Blandy’s family for 7 successive generations.

This relaxed and informative tasting will satisfy the wine fan’s thirst for extensive knowledge of contemporary Madeiran winemakers, to old and prestigious families, that have been producing fortified wine for hundreds of years.
